Rock band The Strokes have released their new album, titled Reality Awaits, through Cult Records and RCA Records. The project marks the group’s first full-length album release in six years.

The record was produced by Rick Rubin, who previously worked with the band on their 2020 album The New Abnormal. Initial recording sessions took place in Costa Rica, with additional production completed at various global locations.

A companion short film titled In Transit: Part II was released to accompany the album launch. Directed by Johann Rashid, the documentary provides behind-the-scenes footage from the Costa Rica recording sessions and serves as a sequel to the band’s 2004 documentary.
