Voodoo Ranger launches nationwide search for people named Michael Myers

Voodoo Ranger has launched Slasher Manhunt, a nationwide search offering a year of free beer to people legally named Michael Myers. The promotion, created in partnership with the upcoming release of Halloween: The Game, is open to U.S. residents aged 21 and older who can verify their legal name.

Eligible participants who enter the contest can win cash equivalent to a one-year supply of Voodoo Ranger beer along with a copy of Halloween: The Game. The campaign concludes on Oct. 7 with an event called Party Without Fear at Ray’s on the Lower East Side in New York City, where attendees named Michael Myers can show valid identification for a special reward while guests try game demos and sample Slasher IPA.

The featured beverage, Slasher IPA, is a collaboration beer brewed specifically for the video game release and is available exclusively inside a limited-edition Hoppy Pack. New Belgium Brewing reported that the release is currently the fastest-selling Hoppy Pack for the Voodoo Ranger brand in 2026.

Entrants can submit their information online at voodooranger.com/contests/halloween through Oct. 7 at 11:59 p.m. MT. No purchase is necessary to enter, and the contest is open to legal residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C., excluding employees of alcohol retailers or distributors.

New Belgium Brewing will select and publicly reveal winning participants on Oct. 19, which marks the fictional character Michael Myers’ birthday. Select stories from the winners will be shared across the brand’s media platforms following the selection process.
