The String Cheese Incident released a surprise new track titled “” late last month. The single follows the musical direction of the band’s 2023 album, which was produced by Brad Cook. The collaborative work with Cook has continued to influence the group’s current approach to narrative-driven songwriting and songcraft.

Bassist and songwriter Keith Moseley wrote the new track following a road trip to Oklahoma to visit family. The song focuses on themes of honoring family past and present while connecting with the spiritual world. Moseley described the single as a celebration and an homage to those ancestral roots.

The Colorado-based band is currently traveling on its Just Keep Spinning Tour, which traveled through the Electric Forest festival last weekend. The group is now preparing for its annual run of performances at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado before heading to the West Coast.

The ensemble has spent decades developing a distinct fusion of rock, bluegrass, funk, electronic, and world music. The band relies heavily on immersive live shows and authentic storytelling to engage multiple generations of listeners..
