CMT will premiere season seven of The Last Cowboy on Friday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The documentary series from Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan returns with six episodes.
The series takes viewers inside the Western equine sports of reining, cutting, and cow horse. It follows top riders as they prepare for Sheridan’s “The Run for a Million,” described as the biggest and most prestigious event in Western equine sports.
This season, the road to the event runs through Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch, which is now home to the reining qualifier. The event carries a $1 million prize purse and draws top competitors and fans from around the world.
Featured riders include Andrea Fappani, Kole Price, Gabriel Borges, Gina Schumacher, Jordan Williams and Erin Taormino. Fappani is the first reiner to pass $10 million in lifetime earnings, and Price is looking to win back the championship he took in 2021. Schumacher returns for a third try as a new mom, and Williams, a cow horse rider, recently won the World’s Greatest Horseman.
Episodes will be available next day on CMT VOD. The first six seasons are available on Paramount+.
