Reba McEntire to launch monthly music capsules celebrating 50-year career

Reba McEntire will begin releasing a series of monthly music capsules this week to commemorate her five decades in the entertainment industry, featuring a mix of career-spanning tracks and new recordings.
The first installment, titled “One Night In Tulsa,” was released today, via MCA. The capsule focuses on songs inspired by McEntire’s home state of Oklahoma and features a new title track, which McEntire debuted during a performance at her restaurant, Reba’s Place, on April 9.
Written by Neal Coty, Kylie Frey, and Thom McHugh, the new single “One Night In Tulsa” is paired in the digital capsule with previously released tracks “Tulsa Time,” “Oklahoma Swing,” “Does The Wind Still Blow In Oklahoma,” and “No U In Oklahoma.”
The project will also include curated digital playlists designed to highlight specific eras of her career. The first playlist, “The Making of Reba,” is set to launch May 1 and focuses on her early years in country music.
McEntire, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, has sold more than 58 million albums worldwide and holds the record for the most Top 10 hits among female artists, with 60 entries on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. She is one of only four artists, alongside George Jones, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton, to achieve Top 10 hits across five consecutive decades.
In addition to her music career, the Golden Globe-nominated actress has starred in the sitcom Reba, performed on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, and recently opened the restaurant and entertainment venue Reba’s Place in Atoka, Oklahoma.
The capsules are available on all major digital platforms, with “One Night In Tulsa” available now. Click here to stream. For more information, fans can visit Reba.com.
