Entertainment memorabilia auction house Propstore will host its Fall Collectible Posters Auction featuring nearly 1,000 lots valued at an estimated $1.5 million. The three-day event takes place online from Oct. 9 through Oct. 11, 2026.
The auction features items spanning more than 100 years of film history, ranging from silent-era artwork and Golden Age classics to modern blockbusters and autographed items. Day one will feature a live-streamed online event, followed by online-only bidding for days two and three starting at 9:30 a.m. PST each day.
A top lot in the sale is a rare 1933 one-sheet poster for Walt Disney’s Mickey’s Pal Pluto, estimated between $40,000 and $80,000. The item marks the first Disney short to include Pluto’s name in its title and is being offered by Propstore for the first time.
Pre-Code Hollywood cinema is highlighted by a stone lithograph one-sheet poster for the 1933 film Hard to Handle, estimated at $12,000 to $24,000. The poster promoted the return of James Cagney to Warner Bros. following a contract dispute with the studio.
International releases include a original Japanese B2 poster for Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 film Seven Samurai, estimated between $12,000 and $24,000. The dramatic artwork features actors Toshiro Mifune, Keiko Tsushima, and Takashi Shimura.
Additional high-value lots include a post-war Italian poster for The Maltese Falcon estimated at $15,000 to $30,000, an Italian four-fogli poster for La Dolce Vita estimated at $10,000 to $20,000, and a signed Star Wars: A New Hope poster estimated at $9,500 to $19,000.
