Photographer Dave Rossi has announced the release of America’s Providence – 9/11 Tribute in Photographs – Faith, Freedom, and the Forces That Would Undo America. Pre-orders opened on August 25, 2026, ahead of the book’s scheduled publication on September 15, 2026.
The publication aligns with the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and the 250th year of the United States. The final photograph added to the volume will be taken during the 25th anniversary events in September.
Rossi, a New Jersey-based photographer, has documented the lower Manhattan skyline for more than 40 years from locations including Bayonne, Weehawken, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. He was present on the Jersey City waterfront on September 11, 2001, and has returned annually to photograph the Tribute in Light.
The book traces the history of lower Manhattan back to April 30, 1789, when George Washington took the oath of office at Federal Hall and led the First Congress to St. Paul’s Chapel. The chapel, located on ground that later bordered the World Trade Center, survived the collapse of the towers without losing a single pane of glass.
Containing over 50 of Rossi’s original photographs, the book documents the skyline before and after the attacks alongside historical connections to St. Paul’s Chapel. The text also details the September 11 boatlift, during which maritime crews evacuated nearly 500,000 people from Manhattan over a nine-hour period.
Pre-order pricing is available through the publication date, offering softcover editions for $45.00, hardcovers for $69.00, and digital formats for $12.99. A signed and numbered limited edition of 1,776 copies will also be offered during 2026 for $250.00.
