
CBS will mark the 30th anniversary of “Judge Judy” with a 90-minute primetime special titled “Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable.” The landmark broadcast will air on Tuesday, September 22, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and will stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
The special traces Judith Sheindlin’s life in her own words, following her journey from her childhood in Brooklyn to the New York City Family Court. It covers her transition from a court judge to leading the most successful courtroom series in syndicated television history.
Unprecedented access to Sheindlin’s private life is included in the program through never-before-seen home movies and personal archives. The special aims to reveal the personal story of the television personality across her three decades on air.
A slate of Hollywood figures will share stories during the broadcast, including Amy Poehler, RuPaul, Samuel L. Jackson, Sherry Lansing, and Steven Spielberg. The special features personal reflections from celebrities who have followed and met Sheindlin over the years.
In addition to celebrity interviews, the special includes commentary from Sheindlin’s family, including her son, Judge Adam Levy. Former colleagues, lifelong friends, litigants, and individuals impacted by her courtroom work also contribute to the broadcast.
