The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation has launched Pizza for Good, a nationwide campaign uniting pizzerias, suppliers, distributors, and industry partners to raise funds for childhood cancer research. The initiative runs throughout September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Participating pizzerias across the country are supporting the effort by making direct donations and offering customers the option to round up their purchases at the register. Participating locations include Jay Luigi in Florida, The Corner Crust Pizza & Brew in North Carolina, Nevada Pizza Kitchen, Peace Love and Pizza in Georgia, White Rabbit Gastropub and Rad Pies Taproom in Maryland, Spark Pizza in Washington, Little Italy Ristorante in Ohio, and Professor Pizza in Illinois.

Industry partner Pizza Bib joined as the inaugural sponsor, creating and donating custom Pizza for Good pizza boxes to promote the initiative. Other corporate partners are integrating support into their supply chains and services, with DeIorio’s printing the campaign message on 40,000 cases of pizza dough and Orlando Foods donating $1 from every e-commerce bag of pizza flour sold in September.

Additional industry involvement includes point-of-sale provider PDQ Signature Systems promoting register round-up donations and Greco & Sons serving as a campaign sponsor. Media agency Forkfluence is mobilizing food influencers, while Scott’s Pizza Tours is requesting $1 donations from guests per booking and per slice eaten on September tours.

According to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 43 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer each day. The campaign aims to channel industry participation and consumer purchases into expanded funding for pediatric cancer treatments.
