New Balance has officially revealed the Maxey v1, the first signature sneaker for two-time All-Star Tyrese Maxey. The shoe is scheduled to launch globally on October 2 at a retail price of $129.99.

Designed for court performance, the sneaker features a dual rail plate system paired with responsive FuelCell cushioning to support speed, agility, and lateral movements. The design includes a sculpted heel, midfoot support, a centerline flex groove, and multidirectional traction outriggers.

The aesthetic blends basketball performance with lifestyle design elements pulled from classic New Balance models. The top lacing draws from the 2002 model, while the sculpted outriggers mirror the 9060 silhouette, accompanied by a blue flying NB badge on the heel.

Maxey worked directly with the New Balance product team during the design process to create a distinct look that performs on and off the court. Kevin Trotman, Senior Product Manager for New Balance Basketball, stated the shoe was engineered for modern basketball players seeking high-level traction and a caged upper design.

The initial launch colorway features a black base accented with vibrant blue, a scheme first worn on court during the 2026 Play-In Tournament. Additional colorways are scheduled to roll out throughout the year across select retailers and the official New Balance website.
