Carhartt has announced the launch of the new Steel Series, a collection of workwear designed for demanding jobs and harsh conditions. The apparel line combines rugged protection, advanced material engineering, and enhanced mobility features.
The collection is built on three core performance pillars consisting of zoned protection with reinforced overlays in high-wear areas, enhanced mobility with stretch and recovery materials, and abrasion resistance. The garments were developed following studies of how workers move and perform in demanding environments.
The product lineup features items such as the Steel Braddock Jacket, Steel Braddock Bib Overall, Steel Bridgeport Sweatshirt, Relaxed Straight Steel Braddock Pant, Relaxed Tapered Steel Buffalo Pant, and Relaxed Straight Steel Baltimore Pant. Select pieces utilize a nylon-cotton infused fabric designed to provide durability and tensile strength without adding unnecessary weight.
The Steel Braddock Jacket and Bib Overall offer four times more abrasion resistance and two times more stretch compared to traditional stretch duck fabric. Additionally, the Relaxed Steel Braddock Pant provides ten times more abrasion resistance and three times more tensile strength than standard stretch canvas.
