HBO Max has launched a dedicated Halloween collection titled “Horror Comes Home” for the month of October. The seasonal hub aggregates new film releases, documentary series, and catalog horror titles into a centralized streaming destination.
New programming additions include the streaming debuts of Backrooms and Evil Dead Burn, alongside the new HBO Original documentary series The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story. Other recent film additions available on the platform include Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, The Strangers: Chapter 2, and Undertone.
The collection features franchise titles from The Conjuring, Final Destination, It, Insidious, Blair Witch, The Strangers, and Evil Dead universes. Catalog selections also extend to classic films such as Carrie, The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist, Gremlins, and The Shining.
To assist with browsing, the platform introduced themed programming collections such as Trick or Treat, Must-Scream Horror, A Killer Movie Marathon, Haunted Hall of Fame, and Creature Features. A new virtual channel called Essential Horror has also been added to stream a continuous mix of catalog titles.
The “Horror Comes Home” hub and its associated curated channels will remain available on HBO Max throughout the month of October.
