HBO and NFL Films are partnering to feature the Seattle Seahawks in the upcoming season of the sports documentary series Hard Knocks. The five-episode series debuts Tuesday, August 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will stream on HBO Max.
Subsequent episodes will premiere on consecutive Tuesdays through September 1. This season marks the first time since the show launched in 2001 that it will follow a defending Super Bowl champion team.
The production marks the Seattle Seahawks’ first appearance on the Sports Emmy-winning franchise. Filming takes place during summer training camp at the team’s facility in Renton, Washington.
The series will highlight head coach Mike Macdonald, quarterback Sam Darnold, and 2025 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Defensive players Devon Witherspoon and Byron Murphy II will also be featured throughout the coverage.
Actor Liev Schreiber will return to narrate the production. Since its launch, Hard Knocks has documented training camps for 16 different NFL franchises, most recently featuring the Buffalo Bills in 2025.
