Dermot Kennedy Announces 32-Date North American Fall Tour Ahead of New Album Release

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy has announced an extensive 32-date North American tour set for this fall, in support of his upcoming album “The Weight of the Woods.”
The tour, promoted by Live Nation, will kick off Sept. 4 in Minneapolis and conclude Oct. 29 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Support on the run will come from Jonah Kagen, with Hunter Metts appearing on select dates.
Kennedy, known for his emotionally charged live performances, is set to play major venues across the United States and Canada, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, and Forest Hills Stadium.
Tickets will be available first through an artist presale beginning April 2, with general ticket sales opening April 3 on Live Nation.
The announcement comes as Kennedy prepares to release his anticipated album, “The Weight of the Woods,” on April 3 via Interscope Records. Ahead of the release, he has shared several tracks, including “Honest,” “Funeral” and “Refuge.”
The album was largely written and recorded near Kennedy’s home in rural Ireland, alongside collaborator Gabe Simon, with additional recording sessions taking place in Nashville. The 14-track project draws inspiration from Kennedy’s Irish roots, blending poetic lyricism with expansive production.
In the lead-up to the album, Kennedy has also performed a series of intimate pop-up shows in cities including Los Angeles and New York, offering fans stripped-down performances of new material and covers.
Beyond North America, Kennedy is set to embark on his largest U.K. and European tour to date beginning in May, including a return to The O2 on June 5. He is also scheduled to perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend on May 24.
With a major tour and new album on the horizon, Kennedy continues to expand his global reach while maintaining the introspective songwriting and powerful live presence that have defined his career.
