Rock band Weezer has announced “Weezer: The Gathering,” a 32-city North American arena tour set for fall 2026, continuing the group’s decades-long run as a major live act.

The tour, promoted by Live Nation, is scheduled to begin Sept. 8 in Sacramento, California, and conclude Oct. 24 in Los Angeles. Special guests The Shins and Silversun Pickups will join the band on the run.

The newly announced tour follows Weezer’s recent sold-out “Return to the Blue Planet” tour, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut, commonly known as “The Blue Album.” It also builds on the band’s participation in the global “Hella Mega” tour alongside Green Day and Fall Out Boy, which saw stadiums filled worldwide.

In conjunction with the tour announcement, the band is launching a series of fan-focused events in their hometown of Los Angeles, dubbed “Weezer: The Gathering — Initiation Week.” The lineup of activities includes a trivia night at Barney’s Beanery, a pickleball tournament featuring the band, and additional surprise appearances throughout the city.

Weezer also plans to release a new single, “Shine Again,” on April 1. The track will be part of the band’s forthcoming, currently untitled album, marking their first release on Reprise Records and Warner Records.

Formed more than three decades ago, Weezer has sold more than 35 million records worldwide and remains a prominent force in alternative and pop rock. Their catalog continues to find new audiences, with tracks like “Go Away,” featuring Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, gaining traction on global streaming charts.

Tickets for “Weezer: The Gathering” tour will be available through multiple presale opportunities beginning March 31, including options for Citi, Verizon, Mastercard, American Express, and fan club members. General ticket sales are set to begin on April 3 at 10 a.m. local time through the band’s official website and Live Nation.

With a new tour, upcoming music, and fan-centered events, Weezer continues to expand its legacy while engaging longtime listeners and new fans alike.
