Carly Rae Jepsen has released “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor,” the latest single from her upcoming 24-track double album Day and Night. The song was written alongside producers CJ Baran and Arthur Besnainou, marking the first track released from the “night” portion of the record.
Playwright, actor, and screenwriter Jeremy O. Harris made his music video directorial debut for the single’s official video. The visual features choreography by Marc Crousillat and stars Tony Award-winning actor Alden Ehrenreich alongside actress Olivia Washington and Jepsen.
The single follows the previously released tracks “On Wires” and “After All,” which represented the sun-soaked, left-field pop sound of the album’s “day” side. In contrast, “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor” introduces the maximalist dance music featured on the “night” side of the collection.

Day and Night is scheduled for release on September 18 via Interscope Records. Following the album’s arrival, Jepsen will make her first live performance of 2026 as a headliner at the All Things Go Festival in New York City on September 27.
The upcoming release adds to Jepsen’s 15-year career as a pop singer and songwriter. Her catalog includes her 2012 breakout hit “Call Me Maybe,” her 2015 album E•MO•TION, 2019’s Dedicated, and her 2022 release The Loneliest Time.
