Foot Locker launches new campaign celebrating five decades of sneaker culture

Foot Locker has launched a new global brand platform titled It Always Will Be Foot Locker to mark more than 50 years of influence in sneaker and basketball culture. The platform debuted with an integrated campaign spanning broadcast, digital, social, out-of-home, and in-store channels.

At the center of the campaign is a two-minute film narrated by hip-hop artist Method Man. Developed alongside creative agency Someplace, the film highlights historic footwear releases and cultural milestones across multiple generations.

The video features several iconic shoe models, including the 1985 red-and-black Air Jordan 1, the adidas Stan Smith, the 1986 Converse Weapon, New Balance Grey styles, and the Nike Air Force 1. Throughout each historical scene, the signature Foot Locker Striper employee uniform appears as a unifying element.

Alongside the brand anthem, Foot Locker is expanding its cultural programming through a new short-form documentary project called Sole Stories. Produced in partnership with entertainment studio Hartbeat, the 36-episode digital series highlights individual creators, tastemakers, and collectors discussing the personal memories attached to specific sneakers.

The Sole Stories project will roll out across digital, social, influencer, and retail platforms throughout the fall season. According to company leadership, the initiative aims to highlight both personal memories and broader historical milestones within sneaker culture.
