Hard rock band Breaking Benjamin earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for its single “Awaken,” recognizing 500,000 certified units sold in the United States. The honor was officially awarded on September 4, 2026, marking the band’s first RIAA certification since 2022.

Released in October 2024, “Awaken” was the first new track put out by the band following its global recordings agreement with label BMG. The single spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and secured top positions on the Rock Digital Song Sales, Alternative Digital Song Sales, and Hard Rock Digital Song Sales charts.

The single was followed by the release of “Something Wicked,” which also reached No. 1 on both Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and the Mediabase Active Rock chart. The track represents the group’s ninth career No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay list.

Both tracks serve as the initial releases ahead of Breaking Benjamin’s upcoming studio album. The new releases follow the band’s signing with BMG in 2024, which became its first new label partner in 20 years.

The band holds a catalog of Platinum and multi-Platinum releases accumulated throughout its career. The forthcoming project will be the band’s first full-length album release under BMG.
