A global campaign titled Bowie80 has launched to celebrate the late musician David Bowie ahead of his 80th birthday year in 2027. The multi-year initiative includes special events, archival releases, museum exhibitions, and commercial collaborations taking place worldwide through 2027.
Initial campaign activities feature retail partnerships, including immersive pop-up shops at flagship Nordstrom locations in New York City, Seattle, and Chicago. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will also host a dedicated retail pop-up and educational fan activations beginning in mid-November, alongside an exhibition of rock photography.
Additional cultural events include Strange Fascination, a photography exhibition opening in February 2027 at Morrison Hotel Gallery locations in New York City and West Hollywood. A live symphonic concert titled Bowie (Breaking) Glass will premiere in Copenhagen in spring 2027, while the audiovisual exhibition David Bowie: You’re Not Alone expands to Manchester, Brighton, and Hamburg.
Exclusive merchandise and apparel are available immediately through the official David Bowie online stores, with additional product releases planned across multiple licensing partners throughout the campaign. Ticketing, venue details, and full schedules for specific regional events are accessible through the official campaign website.
