Capitol/UMe has released an expanded 20th anniversary edition of Bob Seger’s 2006 studio album, Face The Promise. The remastered collection is available on streaming platforms for the first time alongside a physical release.
The updated release features four previously unreleased bonus tracks, titled “Time,” “Little Jane,” “Red Eye to Memphis,” and “Let Me Try.” Physical copies are available as a two-LP black vinyl set, which includes a gatefold jacket and a 12-page booklet.
Longtime mastering engineer Robert Vosgien remastered the expanded edition, which contains the original singles “Wait for Me” and “Wreck This Heart.” The album also includes “The Answer’s In The Question,” a duet recorded with Patty Loveless, whom Seger helped induct into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
Originally released on September 12, 2006, Face The Promise was Seger’s 16th studio album. The project debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart and earned a platinum certification from the RIAA three months following its initial debut.
Seger, who holds membership in both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, stands as the longest-tenured solo artist on the Capitol Records roster. His total sales catalog includes 13 platinum and eight multi-platinum awards from the RIAA, led by his diamond-certified Greatest Hits collection.
