Eric Clapton will bring his Crossroads Guitar Festival back to Texas this fall, with the two-day event set for Sept. 26-27 at Moody Center in Austin.
The 2026 edition marks the seventh installment of the festival, which was founded to support the Crossroads Centre Antigua, a treatment facility established by Clapton in 1998. The event will feature performances, collaborations, and appearances by a wide range of prominent guitarists spanning multiple genres.
Among the returning artists are Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, John Mayer, Del McCoury Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jimmie Vaughan. Artists making their Crossroads debuts include Trey Anastasio, Tommy Emmanuel, Julian Lage, and Pete Townshend.
Clapton is scheduled to perform both nights of the festival.
The event will also feature the Guitar Center Experience, an interactive exhibit presented by Guitar Center. The activation will include hands-on opportunities for attendees to explore instruments and gear from major brands, as well as a showcase of historic guitars from the retailer’s Legends Collection.
Among the instruments on display will be Clapton’s 1956 Fender Stratocaster, known as “Blackie,” and a 1964 Gibson ES-335 he played during his time with Cream. The exhibit will also include Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 1965 Fender Stratocaster, nicknamed “Lenny.”
In addition to the exhibits, Guitar Center is expected to induct a new artist into its RockWalk during the festival, with the honoree to be announced at a later date.
Michael Owens, senior vice president of entertainment for Moody Center, said the festival is expected to be one of the venue’s most notable events since opening in 2022.
“Out of the more than 380 concerts we’ve hosted since opening, this is poised to be one of the most iconic events ever to take place in our arena,” Owens said in a statement.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale April 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
Organizers said representatives from Crossroads Centre Antigua will also be on-site throughout the weekend to provide information about addiction recovery programs and resources, continuing the festival’s longstanding philanthropic mission.
