Buckhorn, the American whiskey brand from Sazerac, is launching The Buckhorn Buck Hunt, a pair of one-night events in Chicago and Atlanta this November. The events take place in two neighborhoods with fitting names: Bucktown in Chicago and Buckhead in Atlanta. The hunt coincides with the fall debut of Buckhorn Smoked Maple.
Part scavenger hunt and part night out, the Buck Hunt asks participants to follow clues to a hidden location in each city. From the sidewalk, there will be little to give away what is waiting inside. Those who find it will step into a backwoods-inspired setting designed to look like the great outdoors.
Inside, guests can try Buckhorn’s flavored whiskeys, its canned whiskey lemonades, and the new Smoked Maple. The experience also introduces the Buck Shot, the brand’s signature group celebration moment where friends say “Buck It” and enjoy a shot of Buckhorn together.
The Chicago event takes place Friday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. CT in Bucktown. The Atlanta event takes place Friday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. ET in Buckhead. Both locations will be hidden, and registered participants will receive the clues needed to find their city’s secret experience.
The events are free to attend, but advance registration is required. Those who sign up will get the clues and intel to track down the location, and more information is available at BuckhornWhiskey.com.
Buckhorn Smoked Maple is bottled at 32.5% ABV and blends the brand’s signature whiskey with a smoked maple flavor. It is the latest addition to Buckhorn’s nationwide lineup of flavored whiskeys and ready-to-drink whiskey lemonades. “With The Buck Hunt, we’re saying ‘Buck It’ to the usual night out and creating something worth tracking down,” said Erica Bovard, senior brand director of American whiskeys at Sazerac.
Buckhorn’s fruit-forward whiskeys include Black Cherry, Peach, Honey, Blackberry and Pineapple, and are available in select markets at a suggested retail price of $18.99 for 750 ml. Its Whiskey Lemonades come in Classic, Blackberry, Peach, and Honey, and are available nationwide at a suggested retail price of $18.99 for an eight-can variety pack. Taxes and fees vary by market.
