Tumble 22 is opening two new restaurants in Austin, with locations planned for the Northwest Austin/Arboretum area and South Lamar Boulevard. The Texas hot chicken restaurant will hold the grand opening of its Arboretum location on November 7. The South Lamar restaurant is expected to open in 2027.
The first 75 guests through the doors on November 7 will receive a free O.G. sandwich once a month for an entire year. Tumble 22 encourages guests to arrive early. The expansion follows the company’s growth from a single Austin food truck in 2016 to nearly a dozen restaurants across Texas.
The menu includes the O.G. sandwich, jumbo tenders, classic bone-in chicken, heavenly eggs, and house-made Southern sides such as collard greens and mac ‘n cheese. Guests can also order fresh salads, whole or by-the-slice pies, house-made sauces, and plant-based options. The restaurant serves cheap stiff drinks and cold beer as well.
Tumble 22 also offers monthly O.G. sandwich specials, from seasonal favorites like the Thanksgiving Stuffed Dipper to Dream O.G.s inspired by ideas submitted by guests.
All net proceeds from Friends & Family events on October 30 and 31 will go to two local organizations. Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus provides accessible breast cancer screenings throughout Central Texas. Heroes Resource Center, a Cedar Park-based nonprofit, provides resources, support and services to veterans, service members and their families.
