Moms for Liberty held its fifth annual Joyful Warriors National Summit in Dallas from Oct. 8 to 11. The three-day event took place at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel under the theme “Boots on the Ground.” It brought together parents, chapter leaders, elected officials and policy experts from across the country.
The organization used the summit to launch M4L AWARE, an artificial intelligence-powered system that reviews the published agendas of more than 13,000 school districts nationwide. It ranks each agenda item from one to ten based on its potential impact on topics including parental rights, curriculum, transparency, Title IX and gender policies. Local members then receive a plain-language summary and a ready-to-share alert.
Moms for Liberty co-founder and CEO Tina Descovich said it is time-consuming for parents to sift through thousands of pages of agendas each week. “Moms for Liberty is harnessing AI to increase the oversight of school boards across the nation,” she said. The group said the tool is meant to help chapters mobilize parents, sign up for public comment and review proposals before board votes.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott opened the first full day on Friday with a “Welcome to Texas” address at the Boots on the Ground Breakfast. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined attendees Saturday evening at the “Such a Time As This” Awards Dinner Gala, where the group honored grassroots leaders from chapters across the country.
Other speakers included Kimberly Richey, assistant secretary for civil rights at the U.S. Department of Education, XX-XY Athletics founder Jennifer Sey and school choice advocate Corey DeAngelis. Breakout sessions covered academic standards, classroom materials, Title IX, student data and artificial intelligence in schools. The summit also included the premiere of the documentary America’s Moms and leadership training on using AI for public policy.
Moms for Liberty describes itself as America’s largest grassroots parental rights organization. It has grown from a handful of Florida mothers in five years.
