The 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation will host the 4th Annual 18th & Vine Arts Festival from September 25 through September 27 in Kansas City’s Historic 18th & Vine District. The three-day event features more than 100 visual artists, nine fashion designers, live musicians, DJs, and over 11 food trucks.
Programming begins Friday, September 25, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Rock the Runway, an evening event merging wearable art concepts with live music and entertainment. Saturday hours run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring Live on the Vine, an emerging artist performance competition designed to connect local musicians with new audiences.
The festival concludes Sunday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Soulful Sunday — A Taste of Renaissance. The final day combines Black culinary arts, family activities, live music, and food competitions including the Chicken Wing Challenge and a food truck battle where winners receive custom championship trophies.
To reduce financial barriers for creators, the foundation utilizes an artist-first model where accepted visual artists pay a $50 application fee but no separate booth fee to exhibit. Applications for visual artists and participating food trucks remain open as organizers finalize the 2026 lineup.
In advance of the main event, a free community yard sign paint party named Paint the Vine will take place on Monday, August 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Keystone CoLAB. Hosted in partnership with ArtsTech, the gathering invites local artists, young creatives, and residents to hand-paint 100 promotional yard signs that will be displayed across Kansas City.
Single day passes for the festival are available for $10, while full weekend passes cost $20. Official event merchandise, vendor applications, and sponsorship opportunities are currently open to support the historical district’s creative community.
