Puori has introduced PW1 Unflavored, a single-ingredient grass-fed whey protein powder made exclusively with whey protein concentrate. The California-based supplement company designed the unflavored powder for consumers seeking a simple formula without added flavors or ingredients.
Sourced from pasture-raised, grass-fed cows in New Zealand, each serving delivers 24 grams of protein. The non-GMO and hormone-free formula also contains 12 grams of essential amino acids and 6 grams of branched-chain amino acids, including 2.7 grams of leucine to support muscle growth and recovery.
Oliver Amdrup-Chamby, founder and chief executive officer of Puori, stated that the product addresses consumer frustration over highly processed protein powders. He noted that the single-ingredient formulation focuses on keeping ingredients simple, purposeful, and close to whole foods.
Every batch of the new powder undergoes third-party testing through the Clean Label Project to screen for more than 200 contaminants, including heavy metals and pesticides. Consumers can view batch-level test results publicly by scanning a QR code on the packaging or checking the company website.
The product launch comes following a Clean Label Project report that tested 160 protein powders across 70 top-selling brands in the United States. The report found that nearly half of the tested products exceeded California Proposition 65 safety limits for heavy metals, while Puori was recognized among the top compliant products.
PW1 Unflavored is available now through the company’s website and on Amazon.
