The Yellowstone Forever Institute has opened enrollment for its upcoming fall and winter Lodging & Learning programs. The seasonal lineup allows participants to stay at historic park accommodations while participating in educational field excursions led by institute educators.

The scheduled tracks include a new program focused on predators and prey titled Wild Yellowstone Tracks and Talons. Other seasonal options feature the Fall Wolf and Elk Discovery, the historical Roosevelt Rendezvous, the Old Faithful Winter Expedition, and the Winter Wolf Discovery program.

Run in partnership with Yellowstone National Park Lodges, these multi-day packages combine overnight accommodations inside and near the park with daily field tours. Participants can observe local wildlife such as wolves and bison while learning about the regional ecosystem and geothermal features.

The package rates cover the expert-led field education, historic lodge accommodations, and select daily meals. Days are spent exploring the outdoor landscape, followed by scheduled evening group discussions and storytelling sessions inside the park lodging settings.

The nonprofit education partner works directly with the National Park Service to align its programming with current park science and environmental stewardship. The institute has operated these educational sessions for visitors since its founding in 1976.

Chief Program Officer Amanda Hagerty stated that the changing seasons transform the park environment, and the programs provide a way to connect with the heritage and wildlife of the area. Enrollment is currently open for various age groups and activity levels, though seasonal availability remains limited.
