Playa Bowls has introduced a new line of handcrafted beverages called Surf Quenchers. The four drinks incorporate the company’s signature superfruit bases, seasonally sourced natural fruit purees, organic agave, and 100 percent pure lemon juice.
Each made-to-order drink is shaken individually and served over ice. Guests can order the refreshers caffeine-free or choose to add a plant-powered energy boost derived from green coffee bean extract, which delivers approximately 70 mg of caffeine.
The lineup features three permanent menu items and one limited-time summer offering, each priced at $4.99. The permanent options include Mango Break, Watermelon Swell with a Pitaya base, and Acai Splash.
The limited-time flavor, Yuzu Tide, combines a Japanese citrus Yuzu base with lemon juice, organic agave, watermelon puree, and blue spirulina. Prices for all four varieties may vary depending on the store location.
“Refreshers have been growing in popularity, but many are high in calories and have little nutritional or functional benefits,” said Danielle DeAngelo, director of research and development for Playa Bowls. “We wanted to stand out by serving a line of refreshers that let the ingredients naturally speak for themselves, are delicious, visually stunning, and deliver better-for-you benefits with each sip.”
Playa Rewards members can receive a free Surf Quencher with the purchase of any bowl from August 10 through August 16. The promotion is valid in stores, online, and through the Playa Bowls mobile application.
