The refrigerated protein snack brand Scott’s Protein Balls has expanded its national retail presence to 350 Target locations across the country. The expansion marks a fourfold increase from the 86 East Coast stores where the brand initially debuted in January 2026.

Strong consumer demand and repeat reorders prompted the additional placement in 275 store locations. The nationwide retail rollout officially went live in May.

To support the increased retail footprint, the company scaled its distribution infrastructure. Operations grew from two Target distribution centers in the Northeast to eight centers distributed across the country.

The available Target product lineup features three specific varieties, including Confetti, Brownie Batter, and Peanut Butter Cacao. The plant-based snacks are formulated with simple ingredients such as oats, flaxseed, chia seeds, and plant-based protein.

Company CEO and Co-founder Lori Levine noted that the expansion reflects an increasing market demand for fresh, refrigerated snacks made with recognizable ingredients. The products are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, kosher, and non-GMO, with select options made without nuts.

Levine, who is a breast cancer survivor, maintains a philanthropic partnership through the business enterprise. The company directs a portion of all sales proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to fund ongoing research.

The New York-headquartered company is also scheduled to exhibit at the upcoming 2026 Summer Fancy Food Show. The industry event takes place from June 29 through July 1 at the Javits Center in New York City.
