Great American Media has announced the commencement of physical production on a new seasonal movie project titled A Christmas Prayer 2. The production is being developed through the company’s dedicated film brand, The Golden Thread, and is scheduled for a network premiere this winter. The broadcast will form part of the company’s Great American Christmas television event, which begins its seasonal distribution rollout in October.

The upcoming narrative serves as the direct sequel to the film A Christmas Prayer, which received the Movieguide Epiphany Prize for family movies earlier in 2026. The new screenplay will reunite actors Shae Robins and Christopher Russell, who portray characters Natalie Sands and Wes Thornton. The broad television distribution strategy includes scheduled releases across the Great American Family cable network, the Great American Pure Flix streaming service, and the GFAM plus digital portal.

The plot follows the central characters inside the fictional community of Bellford Falls as Natalie prepares for the retail publication of her debut children’s book, titled Adeline the Angel. Concurrently, a secondary character named Caroline, portrayed by actress Madeline Cox, begins an independent neighborhood mission focused on answering the personal requests of local residents. According to network corporate summaries, the storyline focuses on personal faith journeys and the communal impact of small charitable deeds.

Corporate chief executive officer Bill Abbott noted that the original production gained viewership by focusing its narrative themes entirely on faith-filled concepts, heartfelt interactions, and community service. The sequel seeks to maintain that established programming pattern by presenting a story centered on themes of personal grace and hope. The project forms a central pillar of the network’s expanding independent holiday entertainment slate.

Complete casting lists, official production calendars, and final streaming availability details will be managed through the central corporate media networks as the winter season approaches. The company will also issue full regional broadcast schedules for the overarching holiday event closer to the October launch date. All specific airing times and subsequent digital platform release dates remain subject to final network programming adjustments.
