Paramount Products & Experiences has partnered with Maximum Entertainment Productions, Crossroads Live, and RoadCo Entertainment to announce a new live theatrical tour. The production, titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live on Stage!, is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2027.
The touring event will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the original animated series, which first debuted in 1987. The show follows the main characters from their comic book origins to their status as pop culture icons while they battle traditional villains from the franchise.
The creative development team is led by Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price, director and choreographer Jennifer Weber, and Emmy Award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen. The production intends to combine martial arts choreography, parkour, hip-hop dance, projection technology, and comedy into a performance suitable for all ages.
Audiences can expect stunts, acrobatics, audience interaction, and musical callbacks to the original series theme song alongside old-school hip-hop and rap influences. Josh Silverman, president of global products and experiences for Paramount, stated that the production brings the characters to a new storytelling platform while remaining true to the franchise’s traditional energy.
