Paramore drummer Zac Farro has announced the upcoming release of a new live-in-studio album titled Operator – Live In Studio. Scheduled to debut digitally and physically on July 17 via Congrats Records, the project features companion performance videos for every track on the record.
The announcement coincides with the availability of the live version of the album’s title track. Filmmaker AJ Gibboney directed the accompanying studio video, which has launched alongside the digital streaming release.
Farro recorded the sessions alongside collaborators Josh Gilligan and Chancey Pierce to capture how the arrangements translate to a live stage environment. The material builds upon the original “Operator” studio album, which debuted in July 2025 as Farro’s first full-length project under his own name after years performing with Paramore and under the moniker Halfnoise.
The songwriting explores themes of personal anxiety, family relationships, and communication barriers. Musically, the tracks combine classic 1970s rock influences with elements of psychedelia, leaning on intuitive studio sessions rather than a predetermined creative theme.
The upcoming record will be distributed through Congrats Records, an independent record label based in Nashville that Farro founded. The label’s roster includes independent artists such as Hannah Cohen, Elke, Liam Kazar, and Rusty Williams.
