The Strokes announce global arena tour ahead of new album ‘Reality Awaits’

The Strokes will embark on an extensive global tour this summer and fall, with dates across North America, Europe, and Japan, the band announced Monday.
The tour kicks off in June and includes headlining stops at landmark venues such as London’s The O2, Paris’ Accor Arena, and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. In North America, the band is scheduled for a two-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and a performance at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre.
The announcement follows the band’s appearance at Coachella last weekend and comes ahead of scheduled headline sets at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026.
The tour supports the band’s seventh studio album, “Reality Awaits,” which is set for release June 26 via Cult Records/RCA Records. Recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin, the project is the group’s first new music since the 2020 Grammy-winning album “The New Abnormal.” The lead single, “Going Shopping,” was released last week.
A rotating cast of supporting acts will join the tour on select dates, including Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Hamilton Leithauser, Fat White Family, Alex Cameron, and ÖLÜM.
General ticket sales begin Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans in North America must register by Tuesday, April 14, at 9 a.m. ET to participate in the artist pre-sale, which begins Wednesday.
