The Prince Estate, in partnership with Legacy Recordings, has released Timeless, a new posthumous album featuring 10 rare and previously unreleased recordings from Prince’s vault. The collection is available on streaming platforms, CD, standard black vinyl, and a limited-edition purple marble vinyl.
Timeless marks the first Prince album curated to span every major era of his career, bringing together tracks recorded between 1977 and 2016. The release follows the initial announcement made in June during Prince Celebration 2026 at Paisley Park and in downtown Minneapolis.
Alongside the album, The Prince Estate released the single and music video for “The Guilty Ones,” a track recorded at Paisley Park on October 26, 2007. The song was written, arranged, produced, and performed by Prince, with background vocals by Marva King and Shelby J., bass by Josh Dunham, and drums by Cora Coleman-Dunham.
The album opens chronologically with “I Am You,” recorded in Minneapolis in 1977, and progresses through tracks including “Tick Tick Bang,” “Heaven,” “I Wonder,” “With This Tear,” “Stone,” “Calabama,” and “Bestest Friend.” The release concludes with a live performance of “How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore?,” recorded at Oracle Arena in Oakland on March 4, 2016.
Compilation producers L. Londell McMillan, Charles F. Spicer Jr., and Chris James oversaw the project, with mixing and mastering handled by James. Additional merchandise and collectible physical editions are available through Paisley Park and the official Prince website.
