Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has announced a synchronized summer event across 17 of its United States amusement parks to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America. The coordinated program will span 12 states, featuring specialized food menus, decorative installations, and interactive audience games. According to corporate statements from President and Chief Executive Officer John Reilly, the multi-state activation is designed to integrate regional community heritage with seasonal park entertainment.

The scheduled festivities include coordinated holiday fireworks displays set to patriotic music over the July 4th weekend, with specific park showtimes running between July 3 and July 5. In-park decorations will feature large-scale commemorative logo installations at main gates alongside oversized lawn chairs and themed backdrops for guest photographs. Individual properties will also host localized activities ranging from regional military band presentations to public eating contests.

The entertainment schedule features several interactive daily games, including a trivia challenge focused on historic American cultural milestones. Guests can also participate in a comedy dialogue segment called George Washington’s Two Truths and a Lie, or a fast-paced pun production titled the Floundering Fathers Dad Joke Competition. Staff performers will include costumed stilt walkers, singers, dancers, and corporate intellectual property characters wearing specialized attire.

Amusement park dining locations will introduce a temporary menu featuring classic Americana flavors throughout the summer season. Dessert selections include a patriotic vanilla layer cake, red, white, and blue parfaits, and an apple pie shake served with a fried hand pie pastry skewer. Adults can also purchase a specialty colada cocktail served in a collectible pilsner glass, while standard concession stands will offer custom beverage mixes developed through a corporate partnership with Coca-Cola.

The summer events will highlight the company’s collection of historic operating amusement rides, such as the 102-year-old Thunderhawk wooden roller coaster at Dorney Park in Pennsylvania. The historical showcase also extends to antique carousels, including a clockwise-rotating 1881 carousel at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey and a 1908 Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel in Georgia. Additionally, the event highlights historical transit attractions, including the 1935 Zephyr miniature train in Pennsylvania and a full-scale replication of Independence Hall located in California.
