Shinedown releases new single ‘Outlaw’ following second consecutive iHeartRadio win

Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown has released its latest single, “Outlaw,” as the group prepares for the May 29 arrival of its eighth studio album, EI8HT.
The track, released via Atlantic Records, follows a historic week for the quartet. On March 26, Shinedown was named Rock Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for the second consecutive year. The win comes amid a record-breaking run on the charts; the band recently notched its 22nd No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with the single “Searchlight.”
“Outlaw” moves the band into a grittier, roots-driven direction while maintaining the melodic intensity that has defined their career. It joins a string of recent hits from the upcoming album, including “Dance, Kid, Dance” and “Three Six Five.”

“We are so incredibly grateful and proud of this band, of this community, of this team,” the band shared in a statement following their award win.
To support the new album, Shinedown will launch the “Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour” on May 13. The massive 60-date trek will span 12 countries, including performances across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia.
Since their formation, Shinedown—consisting of vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist Zach Myers, bassist and producer Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch—has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and eclipsed 8.3 billion global streams. They currently hold the record for the most No. 1 singles in the history of the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
EI8HT is available for pre-order now. “Outlaw” is streaming on all major digital platforms, accompanied by a new lyric video on the band’s official YouTube channel.
