The rock band KISS has announced the upcoming release of a live concert album titled KISS Destroys Anaheim 1976. The album commemorates the 50th anniversary of the band’s historic performance at Anaheim Stadium in California during the Spirit of 76 Tour, which was also known as the Destroyer Tour. Scheduled for public release on August 21, the album marks the first time this specific recording will be officially available to the general public.
The original performance took place on August 20, 1976, and drew a crowd of more than 42,000 fans. At the time, the stadium show represented the largest audience the band had ever performed for during their career. The concert was originally captured on multi-track tapes by audio engineer Eddie Kramer on the night of the performance.
Kramer returned to those original recordings to produce a completely new mix for this anniversary release. Fans of the band can currently access the official Kiss website to place pre-orders for the physical album products. The web platform is also hosting digital pre-save options for the upcoming audio streaming release.

Registered members of the official KISS online fan club can access exclusive promotional materials starting today. The member-only content includes initial previews of the freshly mixed soundbites and live concert material. The digital portal also features new commentary from founding band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as they share personal recollections of the 1976 California stadium show.
The release highlights a pivotal era in the history of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. The upcoming physical and digital distribution will give listeners access to the complete unreleased performance from that summer tour stop. Additional information regarding the track lists and fan club registration tiers can be found directly on the group’s official marketplace website.
