Five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Glasper will return to the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City for his eighth annual Robtober residency. The month-long run begins October 1 and continues through November 1, with two performances scheduled each night.
The residency features a lineup of guest artists performing alongside the pianist and composer. Scheduled guest appearances include Wyclef, Lalah Hathaway, Questlove, Kem, Terrace Martin, Bilal, Derrick Hodge, Chris Dave, and Phoelix.
A single-set performance on October 14 will coincide with the 45th anniversary of the New York venue. The celebration comes following the one-year anniversary of Blue Note Los Angeles and plans for a venue in London.
Glasper’s catalog includes the album Black Radio, along with the recent releases Let Go, Code Derivation, Keys to the City: Volume 1, and the holiday album In December. His work also extends to film scores, including The Photograph, Luther: Never Too Much, and Miles Ahead, as well as the television series Winning Time.
The Blue Note Jazz Club operates locations globally, including venues in Milan, Honolulu, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Napa, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. The New York location continues to host contemporary artists across multiple musical genres.
