Food Network and HBO Max will premiere season three of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking on Wednesday, November 4, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The new season celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first film in the series and will roll out globally with international dates to be announced later.
The seven-episode series introduces a tournament structure featuring four teams of three returning competitors, with each team representing one of the Hogwarts Houses. Hosts James and Oliver Phelps return for the season alongside new judges Duff Goldman and Sarah Mountain, who will evaluate the showpieces to determine which team wins the trophy and a VIP trip to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter.
The two-hour premiere begins with a challenge to create confections inspired by memorable firsts from the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, presented against the backdrop of the Quidditch Pitch set. The bakers will then face a second challenge to build a showpiece inspired by their favorite spells.
Future episodes will feature challenges based on themes such as the Chamber of Secrets, the Dark Arts, the Weasleys, and the battle between Good vs. Evil. Filming locations include sets for the Burrow, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom, Ollivander’s Wand Shop, Hagrid’s Hut, and the Ministry of Magic, with a guest appearance by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto during episode four.
The Gryffindor team includes Andy Ortega, Angel Figueroa, and Rui Mota, while Hufflepuff consists of Elizabeth Rowe, Molly Robbins, and Priya Winsor. Ravenclaw is made up of Caitlin Taylor, Jujhar Mann, and Kimberly Adams, and team Slytherin features Christopher Teixeira, Hemu Basumatary, and Miko Uy.
The series is produced for Food Network by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. Executive producers for the season are Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Yasmin Shackleton.
