Trading card publisher Cardsmiths announced the release of the Betty Boop Then & Now Series 1 Trading Cards. The new collection highlights the evolution of the animated character through a set featuring vintage artwork, modern designs, and themed chase cards.
The base set consists of more than 125 total designs, including parallel holofoils, serial-numbered gemstone refractor cards, and special insert subsets like Glamour Girl, Pin-Up, and Cyber Betty. Select cards in the run feature original signatures from Mark Fleischer, chairman and chief executive officer of Fleischer Studios and grandson of character creator Max Fleischer.
The series also includes cryptocurrency redemption cards randomly inserted across production packs. Collectors who discover the redemption cards can redeem them for full or fractional amounts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or Dogecoin, including top-tier redemptions valued at up to one full Bitcoin and one full Ethereum.
Preorders for the collection are open online through the publisher’s website and select retail store partners. The line is available in two distinct formats, offering Collector Boxes and Mega Boxes with exclusive parallel card variations in each packaging type.
