Build-A-Bear Workshop is opening its largest retail destination at ICON Park in Orlando, Florida, in November. The three-story location will introduce several multi-level features and custom experiences designed specifically for the flagship location.
The Orlando store will launch the first Build-A-Bear Design Studio, an appointment-only space where visitors work one-on-one with a consultant to create custom plush items. Guests can select specific fabrics, fur colors, eye options, and paw designs, using digital tools to preview the plush before seamstresses construct the final product.
The location will also feature an interactive Build-A-Bear Bakeshop where guests can decorate their own cupcakes and cookies. A new personalization station will offer custom embroidery, screen printing, and patch options for clothing and select plush items.
Additional store features and official grand opening details will be announced in the coming weeks ahead of the November launch. The company partnered with design firm Chute Gerdeman to develop the multi-level retail concept.
Build-A-Bear Workshop operates interactive retail stores globally and previously collaborated with Chute Gerdeman on its location inside the FAO Schwarz flagship in New York. The ICON Park development represents the company’s largest standalone store footprint to date.
