Mellody Farm in Vernon Hills, Illinois, will host its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The daylong community event features free daytime activities, live entertainment, pet programming, and evening food and beverage tastings. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Hawthorn School District PTO.

Daytime visitors can participate in the Harvest Haul experience by picking up a card at check-in and collecting stickers across participating retailers. Guests who complete at least eight stops receive a seasonal item while supplies last and gain entry into a prize drawing. The grand prize features a two-night family stay at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa alongside items from local businesses.

Morning programming includes an Illinois Agriculture and Urban Farm Zone running from 10 a.m. to early afternoon, featuring a winterizing garden workshop and representatives from the Lake County Farm Bureau. Family entertainment takes place throughout the property from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while Lazy Dog hosts a pet costume contest, parade, and PAWS Chicago adoption event from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Starting at 4 p.m., the festival transitions into evening tasting experiences alongside live music from Big Boss and the Toes. Tickets cost $35 for the Bites and Sips food stations, $35 for the Bourbon and Bonfires tasting with Aged in Oak, or $55 for a combined package. A $20 designated driver ticket option is also available online at omella.com/267p5, while daytime programming remains free.

The event also launches Mellody Farm’s seasonal community giving drive, collecting nonperishable food and clothing for regional hunger-relief efforts. Grand prize winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. before the festival concludes at 8 p.m.
