Matthew Kline publishes new cookbook reflecting five decades of home cooking

Matthew Kline brings more than five decades of cooking experience to his new project, Kline & Dine: Every Meal an Adventure. The work combines a cookbook with a personal memoir, highlighting food as a centerpiece for shared experiences and social connection.

The book contains more than 100 recipes alongside original photography and narratives that trace Kline’s personal experiences with global cuisines. It reflects a lifelong interest in exploring different techniques, cookbooks, and dining traditions.

Kline’s culinary background began in childhood when his parents introduced him to authentic Chinese food. His mother later gave him a wok and a cookbook during his college years, leading him to cook regularly for roommates and refine his skills.

Over the following decades, Kline expanded his repertoire beyond Chinese dishes to include Mexican, French, Italian, Eastern Mediterranean, barbecue, Moroccan, Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Persian styles. Kline & Dine: Every Meal an Adventure organizes these influences into appetizers, main courses, desserts, side dishes, and holiday menus.

The recipes feature omnivore, pescatarian, and vegetarian options designed specifically for everyday home cooks rather than professional chefs. The volume focuses on practical curiosity, encouraging readers to experiment with unfamiliar ingredients and meal planning for friends and family.
