New Jersey-based rock band Major League has released “Heavenly Hell,” marking their first new music in over 12 years. The single features thrashy riffs, pounding drums, and a dual vocal performance from founding members Nick Trask and Brian Anthony Joyce.
The release follows a period of reconciliation between Trask and Joyce after nearly a decade without contact. When the two began speaking again, they re-established their friendship before writing new material together. Within a month, new recordings were sent to their longtime friend, previous booking agent, and producer Gary Cioni.
Drummer Luke Smartnick joined the group to record the new track, helping recreate the original sound that defined the band’s early career. The new song is available to stream online alongside an official lyric video.
Major League is currently on tour this summer with Belmont to perform the new single live. The tour began earlier this month, with upcoming performance stops scheduled in Atlanta, Richmond, Washington DC, New York City, and Pittsburgh.
Formed in 2009, the band originally gained recognition through early releases like The Truth Is… and Variables, as well as their 2012 debut album Hard Feelings on No Sleep Records. Following the departure of Trask in 2014, Joyce took over lead vocals for the 2014 album There’s Nothing Wrong With Me before the group disbanded in 2016.
The band officially returned in 2025 with the original lineup intact. Prior to their current run with Belmont, Major League celebrated their reunion with an exclusive vinyl release, a sold-out hometown show at The Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey, and a co-headlining tour with Hit The Lights.
