British blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor released her new studio album, The Trouble With Love, on Oct. 23 through Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records. The 10-track album was produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Shirley, whose credits include The Black Crowes, Journey and Aerosmith.
The record blends blues, rock, soul, and Americana as it explores love, heartbreak, and friendship. It features collaborations with Bonamassa on the title track and with Orianthi on “What Good Is My Love?” Taylor also covers Celeste’s “This Is Who I Am.”
The album arrives with the new single “Never Gonna Please ’Em All,” which addresses the pressure to meet other people’s expectations. Taylor wrote it about the demands placed on women and about accepting that some people will never be satisfied. A music video for the single is available.
Other songs on the album include “Hell Or High Water,” “Tired Of Being Right,” “Bad Boy” and “The Girl That You Loved Before.” “You And Me (Rachel’s Song)” was written as a tribute to Taylor’s best friend and celebrates friendship rather than romance.
Taylor launches her Fall 2026 U.S. tour Oct. 28 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The run goes through the Southwest, Mountain West, Pacific Northwest and California, and ends Nov. 21 at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey, California. Canadian blues-rock band Bywater Call joins her for the opening dates, followed by a series of shows with Robert Jon & The Wreck.
Tour dates and tickets are available through Taylor’s official website. The Trouble With Love is available to stream and order now.
Taylor was discovered at 16 by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, who invited her to tour internationally. She has earned praise from Stevie Wonder, Annie Lennox, Jimmy Cliff and Bonamassa, and her catalog includes multiple No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart.
