HGTV is launching a new six-episode home renovation competition series titled Totally ’90s House. The show is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, August 26, at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time.

Actor, producer, and game show host Jaleel White will host the series, which follows two teams of prominent 1990s television stars. The competitors are tasked with finding and completely overhauling houses across the country that have remained decorated in the style of that decade.

One team features Brian Austin Green, Beverley Mitchell, and Jodie Sweetin. They will compete against the team of Melissa Joan Hart, Matthew Lawrence, and Keshia Knight Pulliam, who will receive assistance from Matthew’s brother, Joey Lawrence.

Designers Carter Oosterhouse and Sabrina Soto will serve as mentors to the teams. The celebrity participants will work to modernize outdated houses featuring elements like sponge-painted walls, mirrored closets, and honey oak cabinets while attempting to retain nostalgic appeal.

The winning team will earn bragging rights and a 25,000 dollar prize for their selected charity. Episodes will feature guest judges evaluating specific room renovations, including designer Vern Yip, real estate developers Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, singer Drew Lachey, designer Mina Starsiak Hawk, television host Paige Davis, and designer Jonathan Adler.

The network will also launch a YouTube companion series called HGTV’s House Call: ’90s Edition. The digital series will visit the homes of various 1990s celebrities as DIY experts help them complete home improvement projects.
