Apple TV releases first look at second season of The Sisters Grimm

Apple TV has released a first look and premiere date for the second season of its animated fantasy series The Sisters Grimm. The six-episode season will debut globally on Friday, October 2.

Based on the bestselling book series by Michael Buckley, the story follows sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, who are descendants of the Brothers Grimm. In the second season, set one year after their parents disappeared, the pair continues to investigate mysteries in Ferryport Landing, a town inhabited by real fairy tale characters.

The voice cast includes Ariel Winter as Sabrina, Leah Newman as Daphne, Laraine Newman as Relda, Abubakar Salim as Charming, Billy Harris as Puck, and Harry Trevaldwyn as Mirror. The series was developed by showrunner Amy Higgins alongside Erica Rothschild, with animation produced by studio Titmouse and supervising direction by Sage Cotugno.

Executive producers for the production include Higgins, Buckley, Elliot Blake, Philip Alberstat, Steven Amato, and Theresa Park. They are joined by executive producers Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio representing Titmouse.

The upcoming premiere joins a slate of children’s and family programming on the streaming platform, including WondLa, Yo Gabba GabbaLand!, Camp Snoopy, Shape Island, and Wonder Pets: In the City. The first season of The Sisters Grimm previously earned a 100 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
