The new original series Dutton Ranch has set a viewership record as the largest original series launch in the history of Paramount+. According to internal metrics from the studio, the program accumulated 12.9 million global views during its first seven days on the streaming platform.

The production also expanded its reach through linear television and third-party tracking. Preliminary data from Nielsen ranked the show as the top streaming series based on average audience size for the week of May 11. On its premiere night, the two-episode debut drew 2.9 million total viewers across the Paramount Network. The first episode alone attracted 1.9 million viewers, making it the highest-rated new cable series premiere since March 2023.

The launch generated significant engagement on digital platforms, drawing 99 million video views and over 2 million engagements across owned social media channels in its first three days. The promotional campaign also caused a resurgence for Eminem’s 2002 song “Till I Collapse” after it was featured in the show’s trailers. The track reached a new peak at No. 3 on the Billboard Rap Digital Song Sales chart, where it remained for three consecutive weeks.

The viewership momentum follows other recent television launches from executive producer Taylor Sheridan. His first-season debut of The Madison drew 8 million viewers in its first 10 days, while the second season of Landman spent 13 consecutive weeks on the Nielsen top ten original series list.

The plot of the new drama centers on returning characters Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, played by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, as they attempt to establish a life in South Texas far from their past in Yellowstone. Their efforts bring them into conflict with a rival ranching empire. The series also stars Academy Award nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening, alongside Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.

Dutton Ranch was created by executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan, based on characters originated by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros directed multiple episodes this season, including the two premiere episodes and the season finale, with Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham also serving as directors. New episodes stream every Friday on Paramount+ and air on the Paramount Network.
