Miner Parker Schnabel enters the season aiming to surpass competitor Tony Beets following the previous year’s haul. Schnabel is targeting a $65 million seasonal goal, though operational plans face potential delays due to an ongoing dispute over local water access and future site security.
Tony Beets, known as the “King of the Klondike,” has allocated $20 million toward new heavy equipment to expand his family mining operation. Beets has brought his brother, Nick Beets, into the operation as a foreman, where the crew quickly confronts flooding caused by melting snow across a major mining cut.
Veteran miner Rick Ness starts the season addressing a personal health issue alongside challenges within his crew. After discussing concerns with team member Zee, Ness receives a medical diagnosis and unexpected operational updates that impact his mining plans for the year.
The new season documents how each crew manages harsh environmental conditions, equipment maintenance, and financial investments in pursuit of gold deposits. Episodes will air weekly on Fridays on Discovery Channel.
