Country music artist Darius Rucker has released a new single titled “I Believe” through MCA. The release marks his first new music since his 2023 studio album Carolyn’s Boy.
Rucker co-wrote the track alongside Eric Paslay, Wayne Hector, and the song’s producer, Steve Robson. The song centers on themes of hope, love, truth, and perseverance during difficult times.
Rucker previously offered an acoustic preview of the track during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, describing the song as a personal message reflecting on current global events. The lyrics emphasize holding onto core beliefs during moments of uncertainty.
Before launching his solo country music career in 2008, Rucker gained prominence as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Hootie & the Blowfish. The band’s debut album, Cracked Rear View, achieved double-Diamond certification, selling over 25 million records globally.
As a solo country artist, Rucker has earned four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, 10 No. 1 country radio singles, and a 2014 Grammy Award for his version of “Wagon Wheel.” The release of “I Believe” follows his 2024 New York Times bestselling memoir, Life’s Too Short.
